Cantina Muntagna
A winery on the north side of Etna. Scrolling takes you down from the crater to the cellar under the house, with an altimeter counting the metres, and each wine sits at the height of its vineyard.

The descent, animated
From the crater to the cellar in four stages: photos open one over the other while the altimeter drops from 3,357 to −6 metres.
The site, top to bottom
The full home page, as someone arriving from Google sees it.

The starting point
Visitors to Etna don’t know the contrade or Nerello: the site must explain why altitude matters, suggest the right wine and lead to booking a tasting.
